PROMOTING EDUCATION, ENLIGHTENMENT & EMPOWERMENT

— Hi my name is Doctor Melody Lynd WELCOME TO MY BLOG!

STARTING NEW: FROM INTENTIONSOFBEAUTY TO DOCTORMELODYINC
Well, I’m back to blogging because I enjoy interacting with you, the reader. When I last blogged on Intentionsofbeauty.wordpress.com (please visit to read my former blogs), I mentioned a break in blogging since I was working on my Masters in Public Health (MPH) thesis. My topic was “Body Dysmorphic Disorder in the Postmenopausal Woman.” Usually when we thing of Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), we usually think of the anorexic or teen girl with eating disorders. It’s not just us that thinks that way, but the literature, on search, focused mostly on that population. The thought is that when we “mature” we really don’t care. After 26 years of plastic surgery work, I beg to differ as my client base are mostly “mature” men and women. That being said, most of my patients have well seated confidence in self and wish for some refinement. BDD implies that person who exaggerates parts of their body to a level of abhorrence. Have I seen this in my practice? Yes, and I do not operate on them but guide them to the healthy alternative. It is for this reason, to date, that I spend much time with patients getting to know them and their concerns. In so doing, it is my goal to help people with good health and wellness guidance in addition to treatment interventions.
I’ve already started with my social media platform @doctormelodyinc on TikTok, IG and FB where you may have seen already my “Doctor Vita/Dolce Vita” Restylane makeover and Cutera TruSculpt posts. Please note that my platform states that I will view what I do from a public health standpoint as I will educated wellness at all levels. So, we all don’t need fillers…..or lasers….or surgery to feel good about ourselves. My goal is to not just educate about what is out there in the world of plastic surgery but to also educate and validate people on wellness and health. I’ve always had this mission, vision and value since I started my practice and I look forward to educating and writing for all of you as we work together on this thing called life. Until next blog, my dear reader………

We empower peoples lives through positive energy and education.
