Rhinestone Steering Wheel

I just finished running Luger enduring his backseat Dobe whining when this large, maroon SUV cut me off obliterating the lane in front of me because this thoughtless driver wanted to get in the left turning lane. You see, we were all stopped at the red light but, hey, didn’t stop this obnoxious person from forming a diagonal blocking everyone in its path. “Who is this person, expletive-expletive-expletive,” I thought. Looking into the driver’s open window, well what did I see?!?!? An 80ish lady with a red swoosh running through her gray hair proved the culprit. But, what impressed me the most other than her style was her utter delight in her Tastee-Freez ice cream cone. For my international friends, a Tastee-Freez ice cream cone is one of the last soft ice cream cone brands that starts with a wide base and swirls to a point at the tip. They are delicious with their subtle sweetness and creaminess. There was my red swoosh hair friend oblivious to the world as she delighted her tastebuds in this ice cream indulgence. She savored each lick and captured each drip down the vintage cone. How could anyone get mad at this lady? I mean she really was harming no-one since we were at a stop sign. She was just with it enough to capture her place in traffic for the left turn (savvy chick) and relish her ice cream. Already impressed with the concept of “this is what I want to be when I grow up” I looked further into her SUV and there was a rhinestone steering wheel cover. Of course. Stylin’ princessa…..no…..La Reina!

Most of us in this go, go, go world, anger at the infamous “hey, you cut me off.” In this scenario, there was no harm or foul but a lesson. Age in style, my friend. Take your time, my friend. Keep your brain functioning, my friend. Enjoy that ice cream, my friend. Nothing is worth a stroke.
